Bayonet named Alabama’s Best Seafood Restaurant

Birmingham’s Bayonet has been recognized as the best seafood restaurant in Alabama, topping even the state’s popular coastal dining spots.

The Takeout recently released its list of the best seafood restaurants in each state, naming Bayonet as Alabama’s top pick. The restaurant, which opened in March 2025, has quickly built a reputation for its inventive approach to seafood and raw bar fare.

A rising star in Birmingham’s dining scene

Led by acclaimed Alabama chef Rob McDaniel, Bayonet has received national attention since opening. Just last month, it was included in The New York Times’ list of the 50 Best Restaurants in America.
