Birmingham City Schools seniors planning to attend a four-year college have until February 1, 2026 to apply for the Birmingham Promise scholarship, an earlier deadline than in previous years.
Scholarship Details
The program covers up to four years of tuition at Alabama public colleges and universities. Since its launch, more than 1,600 graduates have benefited, receiving financial support that helps make higher education more accessible.
Why Students Should Apply Early
Officials encourage seniors to submit applications as soon as possible. Early applications can improve access to campus housing and other scholarship opportunities, giving students a better chance to secure comprehensive support.
Application Tips
Students should apply even if their college plans are not finalized. Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is also recommended to maximize available funding and aid opportunities
