Central Alabama Flooring (CAF) has closed its Big Bob’s Outlet Store in Birmingham and ended its membership with the Floors & More/Big Bob’s Flooring Outlet group, effective January 1, 2026. The store originally opened in 2017.
Strategic Business Shift
CAF plans to concentrate on its full-service Carpet One business as part of a larger strategy to align more closely with CCA Global’s business model. The company operates three Carpet One locations, two Kiba Studio locations, and a ProSource location, and it plans to expand further in Alabama and surrounding states with additional Carpet One and ProSource stores.

Founded in partnership with Terry Wheat’s Carpet One stores, Central Alabama Flooring provides residential, builder, and commercial flooring solutions across the state. The company is led by Don Roberts, president and CEO, and has a history of innovation, including helping develop ERP software for Wheat’s stores.

The closure of the Big Bob’s store marks a new chapter for CAF as it focuses on expanding its Carpet One and ProSource footprint while continuing to serve Alabama’s flooring market.
