Craft’s Chicken opens new spot on US 280

Craft’s Chicken, a Birmingham-based family-owned restaurant, has opened its newest location along US 280 in Mountain Brook Plaza.

A New Spot on US 280

Work on the new location began this summer, converting a former Wendy’s into a vibrant dining space. The restaurant joins Craft’s other locations at 49 Church St. in Mountain Brook and 2118 Seventh Ave. South in Birmingham, expanding its reach across the city.

Family Roots and Community Focus

The O’Neal family, now in their third generation of restaurant ownership, brings decades of culinary experience and community engagement to Craft’s Chicken. Since the first location opened in 2018, the brand has partnered with local businesses and schools while supporting numerous philanthropic efforts.

Menu Highlights: New and Classic Favorites

Craft’s Chicken serves a variety of options, from mini chicken bites with dipping sauces to whole fried birds, sandwiches, salads, bowls, wraps, mac and cheese, and quesadillas. Many recipes are inspired by the family’s culinary traditions, continuing the legacy of the former Miss Dot’s while offering new favorites for locals to enjoy.
