Birmingham’s Museum of Art café is reopening under the leadership of renowned local caterer Kathy G & Company. Café BMA welcomes the public on February 11, with soft openings on February 4 and 6.
Kathy G & Company returns to Café BMA
Kathy G & Company is taking over operations at the Birmingham Museum of Art café. Executive Chef Jason Mezrano shared, “Café BMA is about creating food that feels thoughtful, welcoming, and connected to the experience of being in the museum. It’s an honor to be part of the BMA.”
The café will serve lunch on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., providing a convenient spot for museum visitors to enjoy fresh, flavorful meals.

Expanding museum hospitality
In addition to managing Café BMA, Kathy G & Company now oversees all food service for the museum’s programs, events, and private functions. Graham C. Boettcher, PhD, director of the Birmingham Museum of Art, said, “Café BMA extends the museum’s role as a cultural gathering place. Kathy G’s leadership brings creativity and care that aligns beautifully with the museum’s mission.”
