Downtown Birmingham’s La Fête recently earned national recognition after Tasting Table named it the best spot for French cuisine in Alabama.

Chef and owner Kristen Hall received a 2026 nomination from the James Beard Awards for Best Chef: South. The recognition placed her among the region’s most respected culinary leaders.
In addition, La Fête earned Bib Gourmand status in the inaugural MICHELIN Guide American South edition released in November 2025. The designation highlights restaurants that serve high-quality food at a good value.
