Little Donkey is celebrating the opening of its newest restaurant at Valley Post along Highway 280 in Chelsea.
Little Donkey Leads Valley Post’s Next Wave
The popular Birmingham-born concept, known for “Mexican food with a Southern soul,” continues its growth with this third location. Little Donkey has been a Homewood staple for 13 years, recently adding a Montgomery restaurant before bringing its bold flavors to the expanding Valley Post development.
What to Expect at the New Chelsea Location
The new restaurant serves lunch and dinner seven days a week and brings the brand’s signature dishes, cocktails, and shareable plates to the fast-growing 280 corridor. Diners can expect house-made tortillas, vibrant Mexican staples, and Southern-inspired specialties that have defined Little Donkey’s loyal following.
Luca & Lucy Also Joins the Lineup
Opening alongside Little Donkey is Luca & Lucy, a sister restaurant to Homewood’s Luca Lagotto. The Italian-American eatery features big pizzas and red-sauce favorites under Chefs Rita Bernhardt and Paul Yeck, serving dinner nightly.
The two openings complete the initial phase of Valley Post, which also welcomed Rodney Scott’s BBQ and Hero Diner last week.
