The owners of a beloved Mexican restaurant in Hoover have announced bittersweet news: Moss Rock Tacos & Tequila will close its doors on Sunday, August 31, making way for a new Italian gelateria and café this fall.
A Farewell to Tacos and Tequila
Owners Benard and Brianna Tamburello shared the announcement on Facebook, thanking customers for their support over the years. “We want to thank you guys truly from the bottom of our heart for supporting us as Moss Rock Tacos and Tequila for so many years,” Brianna said in a video message. “It was a journey. It was a blessing.”
Making Way for Something New
The restaurant space on Preserve Parkway in Hoover will be transformed into Vecchia Gelato and Café, a new concept by the same owners. The café is expected to open in October, bringing Italian-inspired sweets and coffee to the neighborhood.
Final Days of Service
Moss Rock Tacos & Tequila will continue serving until Sunday, August 31, giving patrons one last chance to enjoy its menu of tacos, tequila, and community atmosphere before the transition.
