New Mexican restaurant De Nada coming to Birmingham’s Parkside

A new Mexican-inspired restaurant concept, De Nada, is set to open early next year at Urban Supply in Parkside.

Location and Hiring Plans

The restaurant will open at 1300 Second Avenue South in a 4,582-square-foot space designed by CCR Architecture & Interiors. Hiring is expected to begin later this year, with plans for up to 25 full-time positions and 15 part-time jobs.

Dining Experience and Design

De Nada will feature 130 indoor seats, booth and party-style tables, a full-service bar with a margarita-focused cocktail program, and a patio. Guests can also enjoy a viewing room and a churro window offering fresh treats for those exploring Urban Supply. The design will showcase a rustic-modern aesthetic with neutral tones, greenery, and custom architectural details.

Menu and Community Vision

The Martinez family, who also own Hacienda Mexican Grill in Indian Springs Village, will operate De Nada. The menu will include Mexican staples such as queso dip, chimichangas, and street tacos, alongside modern twists like the Hot Honey Fried Chicken Taco. Owner Armando Martinez says the goal is to create an approachable yet elevated space that emphasizes hospitality, connection, and fun.

Orchestra Partners, the developer behind Urban Supply, welcomed the addition, noting that De Nada aligns with their mission to create walkable, community-centered destinations in Birmingham’s Parkside District.
