Taco Mama has officially closed its UAB-area restaurant, located at 707 Richard Arrington Blvd. South, Suite 103. After serving the campus community and nearby neighborhoods for eight years, the Birmingham-born Tex-Mex chain has moved out of the space on 7th Avenue South.

A printed note at the entrance informed guests of the closure, expressing appreciation for their support over the years.

Other options
Although this location has closed, Taco Mama fans still have plenty of options. Eight locations remain in the Birmingham metro area, along with one in Tuscaloosa.
