Birmingham’s beloved Cajun food truck and catering business, Roll Cajun Boudin, is taking the next step.
New Brick-and-Mortar Location
The company announced plans to open a brick-and-mortar location in the former Iron City Grill on 22nd Street South, targeting a February or March 2026 opening. Phased expansions will roll out as construction progresses. Iron City Grill closed more than two years ago after serving the community for over a decade.
Cajun Dining, Bar, and Live Music
Roll Cajun Boudin promises a sit-down restaurant where “every plate tastes like it came out of somebody’s Maw Maw’s kitchen.” The new space will feature an expanded dinner menu, live music, and a full bar with custom cocktails to create an authentic Cajun experience.
Coffee, Grocery, and Bakery
The restaurant will also include a coffee shop, a Cajun grocery offering Louisiana-based goods, and a bakery serving King Cakes and cheesecakes. Guests can enjoy a custom boudin and sausage bar, choosing their protein, seasonings, and vegetables.
Despite the new location, the food truck and catering services will continue operating. The owners pledged to keep customers updated on progress via their Facebook page.
