RPI Rentals, a provider of construction equipment solutions, is moving its main office from Bessemer to a new, larger facility in Birmingham to support ongoing growth and expansion.
New Location to Expand Operations
The new site at 1802 John Rogers Drive spans 24 acres and will feature a 32,500-square-foot office and warehouse. The upgraded space will allow RPI to grow its service operations, boost inventory, and house a larger fleet of equipment. With convenient access to Birmingham’s major interstate routes, the location also strengthens the company’s reach into East Alabama and Georgia.
Significant Investment and Job Creation
The relocation represents a $9.6 million investment. The company purchased the property in June 2025 for $2.25 million. It plans to spend $7.25 million on building construction and another $100,000 on equipment and furnishings. RPI will also add 17 new positions in Birmingham, including roles in management, sales, technical services, and administration. Construction is set to finish by June 2026.
Local Support and Long-Term Impact
The Birmingham Business Alliance (BBA) played a key role in guiding RPI through local incentive and development processes, working alongside the Birmingham Industrial Development Board. BBA President and CEO Steve Ammons praised the move as a boost to Birmingham’s industrial sector, noting that RPI’s decision reflects the city’s ongoing appeal as a hub for business growth.
RPI Rentals offers a wide range of services and products for construction professionals. Its offerings include tower cranes, manned hoists, earth-moving equipment like excavators and loaders, climate control systems, jobsite storage, elevated access tools, and concrete solutions. The company also supplies safety gear, tools, apparel, and consumables through national agreements that enable competitive pricing.
