Toujours brings New Orleans–Orleans-inspired cuisine to Hoover

A new chef-driven restaurant, toujours, is now open in Hoover, offering a taste of New Orleans with an upscale-casual dining experience.

Located at 4524 Southlake Parkway, Suite 7, the restaurant features a mix of small and large plates crafted by Chef and owner Daniel Mitchell.

A Culinary Vision Rooted in New Orleans

Chef Mitchell, a lifelong culinarian, began his career in New Orleans, where cooking is woven into everyday life. With over 20 years of experience as an executive chef at local private clubs, he now brings his expertise to Hoover. Toujours blends refined Southern flavors with French-inspired techniques, reflecting Mitchell’s culinary journey and passion for community-driven dining.

Menu Highlights

The restaurant’s menu showcases signature dishes inspired by New Orleans classics, including:

NOLA BBQ Shrimp – buttery veal reduction, garlic, lemon, rosemary, and French bread

Redfish Genevieve – crabmeat prentiss, stone-ground grits, charred asparagus (GF)

Seared Wild Salmon – saffron rice pilaf, haricots verts, dill beurre blanc (GF)

Seared Sea Scallops – creamy leeks, stone-ground grits, haricots verts, fried sweet potatoes
