The Vestavia Hills City Council has approved a $1.5 million street paving project covering 8 miles across 26 residential roads in the city. Construction is expected to begin this year and finish before the end of 2026, according to city officials.
Project Details
The project focuses on residential areas around U.S. 31, Vestavia Country Club, Rocky Ridge Road, and Dolly Ridge Road. Most roads will remain open during construction, and short stretches of road are expected to be completed in less than a week, from milling to final paving.
Contractor and Oversight
Dunn Construction Company will oversee the project. City officials noted that weather or other unforeseen circumstances could cause minor delays, but the overall timeline is designed for efficient completion.
Roads Included in 2026 Paving
Some of the roads scheduled for paving include Green Glen Road, Vesthaven Way, Vesclub Drive, Beaumont Drive, Cherry Tree Lane, Timberline Way, River Ridge Road, Magnolia Ridge, and Liberty Parkway, among others.
The project is part of the city’s ongoing effort to maintain residential streets and improve neighborhood accessibility and safety.
