California-based athletic and lifestyle brand Vuori is bringing its first Alabama location to Birmingham’s The Summit.
Vuori set to open first Alabama store at The Summit
The new store is expected to open this spring in the former Frutta Bowls space, which is currently undergoing renovations. An exact opening date has not yet been announced.
A fast-growing performance and lifestyle brand
Vuori was founded in 2015 in the coastal town of Encinitas, California, just steps from the beach. The brand is known for blending premium performance apparel with elevated everyday styles, emphasizing comfort, versatility and fabric-driven design.
In 2025, Vuori reached a major milestone by opening its 100th store a year ahead of schedule. The company’s products are now sold in more than 30 countries, signaling rapid global growth for the relatively young brand.
Continued retail momentum at The Summit
Vuori’s arrival adds to a busy period of expansion at The Summit. The shopping center recently welcomed Solidcore’s first Alabama location and is preparing for the opening of escape room franchise The Escape Game.
Over the past year, several major retailers have either opened or refreshed locations at The Summit, including Anthropologie, Abercrombie & Fitch, Alo Yoga and the reopening of Lululemon, reinforcing the center’s role as one of Birmingham’s most active retail hubs.
