21 Birmingham nonprofits awarded $1.5M in grants

Navigate Affordable Housing Partners has awarded more than $1.5 million in grant funding to 21 Birmingham-based nonprofits.

Major Investment in Birmingham Communities

The locally headquartered nonprofit distributed the funds as part of a broader $2.9 million initiative across Alabama. Birmingham organizations received the largest share, reflecting the city’s ongoing need for housing stability, health services, and community support. Alabama received more funding than any other state where Navigate operates, including Mississippi, Connecticut, and Virginia.

Nonprofits Serving Diverse Needs

The awarded nonprofits represent a wide range of services, including maternal and infant health, food access, housing support, domestic violence prevention, education, and water quality. Several organizations, such as Woodlawn United, Magic City Harvest, and Serving You Ministries, focus on strengthening neighborhoods through direct community engagement and essential services.
