Little Red Print Shop is opening a temporary brick-and-mortar shop at Pepper Place this fall.
Little Red Print Shop Sets Holiday Opening
Printmaker Jessica Leitch recently announced the nine-week pop-up. The shop will open for the holiday season and offer handmade artwork, gifts, and locally made goods.
The grand opening is scheduled for October 24. Before then, shoppers can expect sneak peek weekends starting in late September.
The shop will remain open for nine weeks through the holiday season. It will also feature special items created just for the pop-up.
Handmade Prints Take Center Stage
Little Red Print Shop is known for its hand-carved block prints. Leitch creates each design herself using a relief printing process.
She carves designs into rubber blocks and hand-inks every print. She also mixes her own ink colors. As a result, each piece can have subtle differences.
The brand also operates small vending machines around Birmingham. These machines offer rotating collections of miniature prints and other artwork.
Where to Find Little Red Print Shop
Until the Pepper Place location opens, shoppers can find the vending machines at several Birmingham-area spots.
The machines are currently located at the Birmingham Museum of Art, Little Professor Bookshop in Homewood, Cala Coffee in Vestavia Hills, and Seasick Records in Birmingham.
Meanwhile, larger pieces are available through select local retailers and the Little Red Print Shop website. The collection includes prints, stickers, cards, and other handmade goods.
