Bayt Al-Qahwah, a new Yemeni coffee shop, is coming soon to the Edgemont Town Center on Green Springs Highway.
A taste of Yemeni coffee in Homewood
Bayt Al-Qahwah translates to “House of Coffee,” and the shop plans to spotlight traditional Yemeni coffee alongside cultural experiences. Unlike many familiar blends, Yemeni coffee often tastes sweeter and more chocolate-forward. As a result, it offers something distinct for local coffee lovers.
Additionally, Yemeni coffee already has a following in Birmingham, with drinks featured at places like Adam & Eve Café. However, Bayt Al-Qahwah aims to focus entirely on this heritage, creating a dedicated space for both flavor and tradition.
What makes Bayt Al-Qahwah unique
Rather than serving coffee alone, Bayt Al-Qahwah plans to highlight Yemeni culture through its menu and atmosphere. The shop will emphasize premium coffee and teas while welcoming guests into a comfortable, inviting setting.
Moreover, its location next to the Publix at Edgemont Town Center gives the café strong visibility and easy access. This setting should help attract both neighborhood regulars and visitors passing through the area.
Location and what’s next
Bayt Al-Qahwah will open at 425 Green Springs Hwy, Suite 141, Birmingham, AL 35209. While the shop has not announced an official opening date, preparations are underway.
For now, coffee fans can look forward to a new spot that blends culture, community, and a unique coffee experience on Green Springs Highway.
