Daysol Coffee Lab opens Downtown Birmingham location

Downtown Birmingham is welcoming a new coffee destination this month. Daysol Coffee, owned by local roasters Bert Davis and Peter Solis, will open on January 17, 2026, in the former Ghost Train and Uproot Brewing space at 2616 3rd Ave S.

About the Cafe

The 8,000-square-foot space combines a roastery, retail coffee shop, art gallery, and outdoor stage for live music. The menu will feature espresso drinks, house-made syrups, kombucha, pastries, matcha, and specialty teas, blending artisanal coffee with community-focused programming.

Local Roots

Daysol Coffee is already known locally through its partnership at Bluff Park Coffee Collective, a collaboration with Good Neighbor Baking in Shades Mountain Plaza. This new location brings the brand to a larger downtown audience and offers a multi-purpose space for coffee, art, and music lovers alike.

The cafe is set to open January 17, with details about the official grand opening available on Daysol’s social media channels.
