Broadway returns to Birmingham with Hamilton, Mamma Mia!, Sound of Music, The Notebook, The Outsiders & more.
Birmingham audiences won’t have to travel to New York to enjoy Broadway hits. The American Theatre Guild announced the 2026–27 Broadway in Birmingham Series at the BJCC Concert Hall, bringing top musicals and two Birmingham premieres to the Magic City.
Star-Studded Shows Coming to BJCC
The 2026–27 season features a mix of beloved classics and exciting new productions:
Hamilton – Sept. 22–27, 2026
Mamma Mia! – Nov. 17–22, 2026
The Sound of Music – Feb. 2–7, 2027
The Notebook (Birmingham Premiere) – April 6–11, 2027
The Outsiders (Birmingham Premiere) – May 25–30, 2027
The Book of Mormon – June 15–20, 2027
Amy Hamm, president and executive director of The American Theatre Guild, said the lineup “reflects both the future and the very best of today’s theater,” highlighting Tony Award-winning shows and world-class performances.
Broadway Premieres in Birmingham
