After serving the Hoover community for 15 years, Andy’s Garden Center has permanently closed its Hoover location.
A Heartfelt Farewell to the Hoover Community
The locally owned nursery announced the closure in a message to customers, thanking the community for its support over the past decade and a half. The business expressed appreciation to the many shoppers who helped make the Hoover location part of their gardening traditions.
In its announcement, the garden center encouraged customers to continue visiting its original Vestavia Hills location. The owners shared their gratitude for the friendships built over the years and said they look forward to welcoming both longtime and new visitors.
Vestavia Hills Location Remains Open
Although the Hoover store has closed, Andy’s Garden Center continues operating from its Vestavia Hills location at 3351 Morgan Drive. The garden center is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Vestavia Hills location offers a larger selection of plants and fresh produce than the former Hoover store. Visitors can also enjoy two greenhouses, a Butterfly House, the Deep Earth Gem Mine, a Rock Shop, and paved walking paths. Many of the team members who previously worked in Hoover have also moved to the Vestavia Hills location.
Customers Invited to Stay Connected
The garden center encourages customers to follow its Facebook page for updates on seasonal plants, fresh produce, workshops, family activities, and special events throughout the year.
While the Hoover chapter has come to an end, Andy’s Garden Center says it remains committed to serving the Birmingham area from its Vestavia Hills home, located about nine miles from the former Hoover store.
