Milo’s Tea Company has expanded its Alabama operations with the opening of a new refrigerated distribution center in Birmingham.
New Facility Supports Continued Growth
The new facility spans 150,000 square feet and sits at 400 Industrial Drive in Birmingham. The distribution center currently employs about 50 people and will help the company improve product storage and delivery across its growing retail network.
The expansion marks Milo’s fourth major facility investment since 2020. Since 2019, the Birmingham-based beverage company has invested more than $400 million in U.S. manufacturing and distribution. Those investments have helped the company more than triple its production capacity to meet rising customer demand.
Focus on Efficiency and Customer Service
Company leaders say the new distribution center will strengthen daily operations while supporting employees and business partners. The facility is designed to improve workplace safety, streamline logistics, and help retailers receive products on time.
CEO Tricia Wallwork said the company continues to expand quickly rather than waiting for existing systems to catch up with growth. She added that the new facility reflects Milo’s long-term commitment to operational excellence and reliable service.
Investing in Alabama’s Future
Milo’s Tea remains headquartered in Birmingham and continues to grow its presence in Alabama. The company is the nation’s top-selling refrigerated tea brand and also produces one of the fastest-growing refrigerated lemonade brands in the United States.
Today, Milo’s products are available in all 50 states and sold at more than 62,000 retail locations. Company leaders say continued investment in Alabama reflects their commitment to local employees, surrounding communities, and the customers who have supported the brand for more than 80 years.
