Construction has started this week on a new Harbor Freight location in the Birmingham metro area, expanding the retailer’s presence in Alabama.
New Store Planned for Fultondale
Harbor Freight will hold a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday at 10 a.m. for its new store at 1215 Old Walker Chapel Road in Fultondale. The City of Fultondale announced the project through its official Facebook page.
The new location adds to the company’s continued expansion across the state. Harbor Freight already operates 36 stores in Alabama. Recent openings include locations in Pell City, Sylacauga, and Scottsboro. A store in Bessemer also opened last year.
The retailer currently serves customers in several Alabama cities, including Birmingham, Jasper, and Pelham.
Growing Footprint in Alabama and Beyond
Harbor Freight continues to grow its national presence as well. The company operates more than 1,550 stores across the United States. Its expansion in Alabama reflects steady demand for affordable tools and hardware supplies in both urban and suburban markets.
The new Fultondale store is expected to further strengthen access to budget-friendly tools for residents and contractors in the Birmingham area.
