A national indoor racing operator has officially opened its first Alabama location in Irondale, bringing high-speed electric go-kart racing and entertainment to the Birmingham metro area.
K1 Speed Opens at The Hill at Grants Mill
K1 Speed is now open at 5421 Beacon Drive as part of The Hill at Grants Mill development in Irondale. The facility marks the company’s first indoor go-kart track in Alabama and adds a new entertainment venue to the area.
The operator runs more than 100 locations worldwide and focuses on electric indoor kart racing for both adults and younger drivers. The new Irondale site expands its footprint in the Southeast entertainment market.
Racing, Arcade Games, and On-Site Amenities
The Irondale facility features an indoor racing track designed for competitive and recreational driving. Guests can race electric karts on a controlled course built for speed and safety.
In addition to racing, the venue includes arcade games, lounge areas, and food and beverage options. The space is designed as a full entertainment center rather than a single-activity attraction.
New Entertainment Option for Birmingham Metro
K1 Speed operates with extended hours throughout the week, including late-night weekend availability. The venue is positioned to serve families, groups, and competitive racers looking for indoor entertainment in the Birmingham area.
