A popular Bessemer-based ice cream shop is expanding into Birmingham with a second location set for the Five Points West neighborhood.
New Ice Cream Shop Coming to CrossPlex Area
Unbothered Scoops will open a new storefront at 2401 CrossPlex Boulevard, Suite 105. The shop announced its expansion through social media, confirming plans for a Birmingham location in addition to its original Bessemer store.
The new shop will sit in a growing retail area near the Birmingham CrossPlex. It will operate between a nearby Starbucks location and a Chase Bank branch. The address places the ice cream shop in an area that continues to see new development and increased commercial activity.
Growing Development Around Five Points West
The Five Points West area has seen steady investment in recent years. City projects and private businesses have added new amenities to the CrossPlex corridor. A family entertainment center is under construction nearby, and a new Jack’s restaurant opened in late 2025.
Local officials and businesses have focused on expanding dining and family-friendly options in the district. The arrival of Unbothered Scoops adds another food destination to the growing area.
