Hoover residents now have a new destination for home furnishings.
Flipsies, a locally-owned furniture store, has opened its second location at 1709 Montgomery Highway in the Riverchase Promenade, taking over the former Joann craft store space.
Grand Opening and Community Support
The store welcomed the public on Monday, February 9, 2026, and celebrated with a grand opening event on Friday, March 6, hosted in partnership with the Hoover Area Chamber of Commerce.
The new location reflects the store’s continued growth and commitment to serving the Birmingham-area community.
Wide Selection of Home Furnishings
Flipsies offers a diverse range of furniture and home décor, including items from brands such as Jofran, Emerald Home, Jackson Furniture, Crown Mark, and Luke Home.
Shoppers can explore everything from beanbags and armchairs to leather recliners, all in a spacious, thoughtfully arranged showroom.
Expansion and Future Plans
Flipsies first opened in Hoover in 2021 at 4431 Creekside Avenue, then expanded to a larger 28,000-square-foot location in Irondale in 2023.
While there are no official announcements yet, the company has discussed potential additional expansions in the Birmingham area.
