New spot De Nada planned for Birmingham’s Parkside District

A new Mexican dining concept is preparing to open in Birmingham’s Parkside District, adding another upscale-casual option to the city’s food scene.

New Restaurant Coming to Urban Supply

De Nada is set to open soon at Urban Supply in Birmingham’s Parkside District. Local restaurateur Armando Martinez leads the new concept, which focuses on blending Birmingham roots with elevated Mexican cuisine.

The restaurant aims to offer a modern dining experience while staying connected to traditional flavors. The team plans to highlight house-made tortillas prepared daily, along with scratch-made dishes such as chiles rellenos and handmade tamales.

Menu Focuses on Fresh, Authentic Cooking

De Nada centers its menu on family-inspired recipes and freshly prepared ingredients. The restaurant emphasizes slow-cooked sauces, seasonal dishes, and handcrafted items that reflect traditional Mexican cooking techniques.

The concept also includes a full dining experience built around hospitality and community. The restaurant positions itself as a gathering place designed for both casual meals and special occasions.

Hours and Location Details

Once open, De Nada will serve lunch and dinner throughout the week. Hours will run from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

The restaurant is located at 1300 2nd Avenue South in Birmingham’s Parkside District. The opening adds to the growing collection of dining options in the area as development continues around Urban Supply.
