A new Beignets & Brew location appears to be moving into a storefront in Homewood, according to recent signage and local reports.
New Coffee Shop Planned for Oxmoor Road
A Beignets & Brew sign recently appeared at 1625 Oxmoor Road in Homewood. The space sits across from Central Park and previously housed Bitty & Beau’s.
The location would mark the first Beignets & Brew in the Birmingham metro area and the sixth in Alabama. Local officials have expressed excitement about the potential arrival of the café. Homewood’s mayor noted the site is a strong fit for the business and said she already considers it a personal favorite.
Concept Brings New Orleans-Style Treats
Beignets & Brew focuses on made-to-order beignets and specialty drinks inspired by New Orleans flavors. The menu includes classic beignets with dipping sauces such as chocolate, blueberry, and buttercream. Some versions come topped with ice cream.
The café also serves sweet and savory items like chicken croissant sandwiches. Its drink menu features specialty coffees such as nutella lattes and salted caramel mochas, along with teas and other beverages.
Permits Still Under Review
Despite the storefront signage, the city of Homewood has not yet approved a business permit for the location. The project remains in the early stages as of mid-April.
Updates are expected as the permitting process continues. If approved, the café would add a new dining and coffee option to the Oxmoor Road corridor.
