Birmingham developer and investor The Sanders Trust has broken ground on a $31 million rehabilitation hospital in Lake City, Florida.
ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital will open with 36 private patient rooms, a rehabilitative gym with specialized equipment, and one-on-one therapy. Additionally, it will feature a dining room with a dedicated chef, an activity-of-daily-living space for in-room therapy, and an outdoor therapeutic courtyard with varied walking terrains.
Specialized Care for Complex Conditions
The hospital will treat patients recovering from strokes, brain injuries, hip fractures, spinal injuries, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and other complex conditions. Once it opens, the facility will serve more than 650 patients annually.
Developer Perspective
Rance Sanders, president and CEO of The Sanders Trust, said the project highlights the firm’s commitment to delivering advanced care and essential resources for patients recovering from life-altering injuries and illnesses. He added that the facility meets the highest standards of modern rehabilitation.
Project Partners and Recent Work
The Sanders Trust is collaborating with general contractor MJ Harris and architect Studio+ on the project. The firm has developed or acquired medical properties in 30 states.
This project joins several others in 2024, including a $44 million behavioral health facility in Youngstown, Ohio, Mercy Health Youngstown Rehabilitation Hospital, and the $34.2 million acquisition of PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
By building ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital, The Sanders Trust reinforces its mission to provide high-quality, specialized healthcare facilities nationwide.
