MICHELIN-recognized Rêve reveals newly renovated Downtown dining room

A downtown Birmingham fine dining restaurant has officially reopened its doors following a major renovation, unveiling a refreshed space and an updated gourmet tasting experience for guests.

Rêve completes renovation in downtown Birmingham

Rêve, located inside The Pizitz at 1821 2nd Ave N, has reopened after a full redesign. The restaurant, known as Birmingham’s only tasting menu concept, hosted a ribbon-cutting to mark the completion of its updates.

Chef Jacob M. Stull leads the restaurant, which was featured in the first MICHELIN Guide American South edition in 2025.

Redesigned dining space and new culinary features

The renovation introduced several updates, including new black oak flooring, redesigned lighting, improved acoustics, and reconfigured seating with larger round tables.

The space also features artwork by Mandy Maples and a handcrafted French Rotisol rotisserie, which supports a new Rotisserie Experience added to the menu.

Expanded tasting menus and beverage program

Rêve continues to offer six-course and ten-course tasting menus while expanding its wine and champagne selections. The restaurant also added rare French brandies and cognacs not commonly available elsewhere in Alabama.

The focus remains on a storytelling-driven dining experience centered on food, place, and memory.
