A new local grocery shop has opened in Vestavia Hills, bringing fresh prepared meals, local products, and convenient grab-and-go options to the community.
New Market Concept Opens on Montgomery Highway
The Kitchen by Market officially opened on June 27 at 1031 Montgomery Highway, next to the Picklr indoor pickleball facility.
The new store is the second location from Market Mountain Brook, which launched its original gourmet grocery concept in Mountain Brook Village in 2025.
The Vestavia Hills location focuses on making healthy and locally sourced food easier for customers to access. The shop offers ready-to-eat meals, simple cooking options, and fresh selections for busy shoppers.
Local Chefs and Vendors Featured
One of the store’s main highlights is its collection of products from more than 30 chefs and vendors across Birmingham and the Southeast. Customers can find a variety of prepared foods, including wraps, homemade chicken salad, protein balls, and salads from local favorite Tre Luna.
The shop also carries products from regional brands such as Better Kombucha, Fridge Snack protein bars, and Trapezi Greek table dressing and marinades.
Healthy Convenience for Vestavia Residents
Owner Chris Moses said the Vestavia Hills location reflects his desire to bring quality local foods and healthier options closer to the community. The store combines the convenience of a grab-and-go market with the quality of locally prepared meals.
The Kitchen by Market is open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., giving shoppers a convenient option for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or quick meal solutions throughout the week.
