The Pizitz Food Hall will expand its operating schedule and add new programming beginning in mid-May.
Expanded Weekly Hours Begin in May
The Pizitz Food Hall will open seven days a week starting Sunday, May 17. The food hall will operate Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. under the new schedule. The change adds consistent weekend availability to its existing weekly service.
Management confirmed the updated hours as part of a broader effort to increase downtown activity. The venue continues to serve as a central dining destination in Birmingham’s historic Pizitz Building.
Rotating Menu Items Across Food Vendors
Food vendors inside the hall will introduce rotating featured dishes alongside their regular menus. Participating vendors include a mix of local and international food concepts. Offerings range from sandwiches and wings to rice bowls, tacos, and specialty desserts.
Examples include chicken Philly sandwiches, Bangkok-style wings, build-your-own bowls, Korean-inspired dishes, and birria-style items. Dessert vendors will also introduce seasonal and specialty drinks such as floats and tasting experiences. The rotating menu format aims to keep offerings fresh for returning customers.
Live Events and Community Programming Continue
The Courtyard Concert Series will continue through the end of May. Live music events take place in the courtyard on select Saturdays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., with additional Sunday performances scheduled from May 17 through May 31.
The food hall will also continue hosting yoga classes in its gallery space. Sessions cost $5 and remain open to the public. Schedules for classes and performances are posted through the venue’s official channels.
With expanded hours, rotating menus, and ongoing community events, the food hall continues to position itself as a central gathering space in downtown Birmingham.
