A popular Birmingham flower business is expanding with its first permanent storefront after years of serving customers through its signature mobile flower truck.
From Flower Truck to Brick-and-Mortar Shop
Dimples Flowers will open a new storefront in Birmingham’s Woodlawn neighborhood, marking a major milestone for the locally owned business.
Owner Kendyl Jones launched the company in 2021 with a vintage 1997 Ford F-250, affectionately known as “Fern the Ford,” which became a familiar sight at pop-up events and local businesses across the metro area. The new shop is opening through a partnership with REV Birmingham and will be located at 5528 1st Ave. South.
What Customers Can Expect
The Woodlawn storefront will offer custom floral arrangements, build-your-own bouquet experiences, seasonal flowers, and floral services for weddings and special events.
As the business transitions into its permanent location, the iconic flower truck will no longer operate regular neighborhood routes. Instead, it will appear at private events, special bookings, and select pop-up events throughout the Birmingham area.
Opening Planned for August 29
Dimples Flowers plans to officially welcome customers to its new Woodlawn shop on Saturday, August 29, 2026.
The move gives the growing business a permanent home while allowing it to continue serving Birmingham through both its storefront and mobile event experiences.
