New co-working salon gives Birmingham stylists place to grow

Beauty professionals in the Birmingham area have a new option for growing their businesses with the opening of Aspen + Ash Collective in Cahaba Heights.

A New Space for Independent Stylists

Aspen + Ash Collective recently opened at 4274 Cahaba Heights Court, Suite 225 in Vestavia Hills. The luxury co-working salon provides independent hairstylists and beauty professionals with a fully equipped salon environment while allowing them to operate their own businesses.

The concept focuses on giving stylists the flexibility of self-employment while fostering a supportive community. Rather than competing with one another, salon professionals share a collaborative workspace designed to encourage growth and connection.

Founded by an Experienced Beauty Professional

Aspen + Ash Collective was founded by Krystal Millender, who brings 25 years of experience in the beauty industry. After spending more than a decade as an independent stylist and entrepreneur, she created the space to help other professionals enjoy the freedom of running their own businesses without giving up the benefits of a salon environment.

The salon features abundant natural light, modern design elements, and thoughtfully designed workspaces that create a welcoming atmosphere for both stylists and clients.

Growing the Beauty Community

The Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce recently celebrated the salon’s opening, welcoming Aspen + Ash Collective as a new business in Cahaba Heights.

The collective is now expanding its network of independent stylists and continuing to build its presence within the local beauty community.
