Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport now offers two new nonstop routes through low-cost airline Breeze Airways.
Breeze Airways Begins Birmingham Service
Breeze Airways launched its first Birmingham flights on July 3. The airline now connects Birmingham travelers with Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina.
The new routes run on Mondays and Fridays. In addition, introductory fares start at $59 one way. These flights give passengers more affordable options for reaching popular destinations without connecting flights.
Breeze Airways focuses on nonstop service between cities that often have fewer direct travel choices. Because of this approach, the airline has expanded into markets where travelers want more convenience and lower fares.
More Options for Birmingham Travelers
The new routes provide additional choices for both business and leisure travelers. They also help replace some nonstop options Birmingham lost after Spirit Airlines ended several routes following its bankruptcy proceedings.
Airport officials welcomed Breeze Airways and highlighted the value of adding a low-cost airline to the Birmingham market. They said travelers who support the new service could help attract even more routes in the future.
New Growth Opportunities for BHM
Birmingham Airport continues working to expand its airline partnerships and improve travel options for the region. With Breeze Airways now serving the city, passengers have another way to reach major destinations at competitive prices.
Moving forward, airport leaders hope strong demand will encourage Breeze Airways to add more flights from Birmingham. The new service marks another step in growing the airport’s network and improving connections for local travelers.
