Canceled stadium tour stop leads to new Jelly Roll Birmingham show

Country music star Jelly Roll has added a new Birmingham performance after a previously scheduled stadium concert was canceled.

New Birmingham Show Announced

Jelly Roll will now perform on May 31, 2026, at the Coca-Cola Amphitheater in downtown Birmingham. The announcement comes just days after his earlier appearance at Protective Stadium was called off. The new show is part of his “The Little Ass Shed Tour,” with live entertainment company Live Nation confirming the date.

Tickets for the 7 p.m. concert will go on sale May 7 through Ticketmaster, with pre-sales beginning May 5 and running through May 6. Prices are expected to range from $49.50 to $159.50. Jay Webb is scheduled to join as the opening act.

Canceled Stadium Tour and Schedule Changes

Jelly Roll had originally been set to perform in Birmingham on May 26 alongside Post Malone as part of the “Big Ass Stadium Tour.” That event was canceled earlier in May, along with several other stadium dates across multiple states.

Post Malone later stated that the tour was not ready to launch as planned and apologized to fans affected by the cancellations. The joint stadium tour is now scheduled to begin June 9 in Charlotte, North Carolina, and continue through late July in Utah.

Tour History and Career Highlights

Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, has built a long touring history in Alabama. He has previously performed in Birmingham at venues including Legacy Arena at the BJCC and smaller local clubs. He also headlined the 2024 Rock the South festival in Cullman.

His music career spans multiple genres, starting in rap and hip-hop before shifting to country in recent years. Since that transition, he has released several successful albums, including “Ballads of the Broken,” “Whitsitt Chapel,” and “Beautifully Broken.” His catalog includes hits such as “Need a Favor,” “Save Me,” and “Son of a Sinner.”

Jelly Roll has also earned major industry recognition, including multiple Grammy Awards and other major music honors.

The Birmingham concert is part of a growing 2026 lineup at the Coca-Cola Amphitheater, which continues to host major touring acts as part of its second season.
